Hi

Using the built in  webservice element in call studio 8.5  we can view the request / response when something goes wrong but can't log it when the request / response is successful....

Note:In the element configuration store full response XML is selected...

You can add anything you'd like to the Activity Log using the General tab of most any element (but not the Web Service or Decision elements). You can use the next Audio element in your application to add the element data named response_xml to the log. Or you could use a 'dummy' element just for its General tab (I often use the Application Modifier element in the folder named Context) for this purpose because it has no required Settings.

In the General tab, just enter a Name (some label), and the Value (using the Substitution window), then select Create (when to create the log entry) Before (default, on the way into the element), or After (on the way out of the element).

Thanks Janine,

Very informative response.

Great. Would you mind going onto the DevNet and marking it as Answered?

Much appreciated.
