APIC EM Api >Can we get a token that will last for longer periods ?

Hi,

I was wondering if we may obtain a APIC EM API token that will last for longer periods and not timeout when idle(30mins) or over 6hrs?

According to one of the lab documents, there seems to be a refresh token that was suppose to be good for 60days?

This would be helpful for demos, etc.,

Hi Julia, you can change this.

Today those settings are global.

settings -> auth timeout.

Idle timeout can be up to 60mins and the token can be up to 23:30 hours.

I am using postman for testing,

should I be passing this parameter along ( in the body section)  with the user name and password entries?

No, you can use an API call to change it, or change it through the UI.  The setting is global, so will not just apply to your tokens.
