CNC Multivendor with Service Assurance Using OpenConfig and GNMI
Automation Developer Days US, Dec 5, 2023
Abstract:
Crosswork Network Controller is a Cisco SDN controller for transport networks and provides an API endpoint to create and manage transport services such as L2/L3VPNs over traffic-engineered tunnels using SR-TE or RSVP-TE. It also supports automated service assurance using RFC 9417 concepts, Service Assurance for Intent-Based Networking Architecture. This approach uses an extensible rule set to calculate KPIs of interest that give the service-specific health information and automatically subscribes to those KPIs, and uses that to provide ongoing health status. The session focus will be on the extensibility of this rule set. In this workshop, we will walk through the steps to add/update the out-of-box rule set to support a non-Cisco device and show service assurance working automatically with the non-Cisco device.
