Nexus 1000V duplex mismatch and interface suspended

Hello,

I noticed a strange behavior, sometimes interfaces on N1K goes in suspended status

sv4025-01# sh interface ethernet 17/18

Ethernet17/18 is down (suspended)

and on the cisco switch where is connected I have duplex mismatch

111233: Aug 28 11:20:12.819: %CDP-4-DUPLEX_MISMATCH: duplex mismatch discovered on TenGigabitEthernet1/6 (not half duplex), with sv4025-01.ti.ch(1298652659127955650) Ethernet17/18 (half duplex).

I have some questions:

interface goes in suspended state due to the duplex mismatch ?

How can I have duplex mismatch on 10G interface, as from my knowledge you can't have half duplex on 10G ?

Hi Helenio,

Can you please let us know which version you are running and some insight into the topology? What device is N1k running on and what is the upstream switch?
