Hi All,
I have a Nexus 9K switch that was purchased with a Cisco One Data Centre Essentials license (C1E1TN9300XF) which is required for OSPF, BGP and Multicast Routing.
When the switch boots with these features enabled, it warns me that I dont have a license applied and that I should purchase and install a license, however, this doesn't restrict the use of these features. From what I have read, the Nexus 9K switches use honor based licenses, correct? If so, do I need to do anything with the Cisco One license as from my understanding its not tied to a specific device?
Thank you

N9K is honor based license, all features are fully opened by default. Although you get error msg from system, there is no any actual impact. You could open a TAC case to get correct license file and stop system from generating error msg.

Hi
Thanks for the response. So as long as I have purchased a license, there is no real need to apply the license to the actual 9k switches and I can just ignore this message?

Correct, but I still recommend you install license.
