Nexus VXLAN Fabric - Dual Spine and Border Functionality

Hi,

We have successfully created a VXLAN Fabric using NDFC where we have external connectivity (eBGP) via the Spines (dual Spine / Border role) due to physical separation of WAN circuits to the Spine cabinets.

Are there any downsides to implementing dual role Spine / Leaf nodes?

Reason for the query is that when performing traceroutes from external hosts, we see one of the other VLAN IP anycast gateway addresses in the same VRF as one of the hops. We see the same scenario whichever host within a VLAN we traceroute.

Pings and connectivity are all good.

I wouldn't have expected to have seen any IP addresses from other VLANS in the same VRF when performing the traceroutes.

Thanks and any thoughts appreciated.
