I am trying to accomplish scp or sftp backup using a user with a keypair. on a NX9K switch with NX-OS version 9.3.12.
I am using this procedure: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/nexus-9000-series-switches/215025-configure-ssh-passwordless-file-copy-for.html
When I use this command in bash to put the user in the network-admin role: usermod -a -G network-admin sftp_networkbck in the NX-OS cli the user is in the network-operator role
#>sh user-account sftp_networkbck
user:sftp_networkbck
this user account has no expiry date
roles:network-operator
no password set. Local login not allowed
Remote login through RADIUS/TACACS+ is possible
Has anybody encountered this issue ?
The problem is for some reason I cannot get the user to use the public key for an sftp upload.
