We are going to upgrade or code and EPLD on our Nexus 7Ks. We have two chassis with single supervisors running in a VPC domain. We have already done the three impact and compatibility checks. The EPLD will be disruptive, because we don't have dual supervisors. We cannot use the ISSU method because we only have single supervisors. The show install all impact kickstart bootflash:n7000-s2-kickstart.8.2.10.bin system bootflash:n7000-s2-dk9.8.2.10.bin was successful. It will be disruptive because we are running single supervisors. We should not have any outage to our downstream 5Ks because we are in a VPC domain. Has anyone done this before? We will upgrade the secondary EPLD first. Do a reload and then upgrade the IOS. We will use the following commands:
install all epld bootflash:n7000-s2-epld.8.2.10.img parallel
install all kickstart bootflash:n7000-s2-kickstart.8.2.10.bin system bootflash:n7000-s2-dk9.8.2.10.bin parallel
We have already copied the running config, first in the admin vdc (vdc-all) then in our two other VDC's.
Am I missing anything? Should we expect any type of disruption to our network? Remember we are in a VPC domain.
