Hi all,
I'm attempting to use vPC-HM for 3 separate uplink port groups that connect to two different 2960 switches with mixed results. I have a few questions:
1. When using cdp to auto-bind the veth interfaces to the subgroups (0,1), is it possible to view which interfaces have been assigned to which subgroup?
2. does vPC-HM work ok with vmk interfaces like the service console, vmotion, or IP storage interfaces?

Please see the answers below for your questions

Naren# CDP is not used to auto-bind VETH interfaces. CDP is used to create the sub-groups. you can view which physical ports are in which sub-group by "module vem <mod#> exec vemcmd show pc" and for viewing the pinning of virtual ports to sub-groups by "module vem <mod#> exec vemcmd show port" and look for pinned_SGID column.
2. does vPC-HM work ok with vmk interfaces like the service console, vmotion, or IP storage interfaces?
Naren# Yes, It works for all virtual interfaces.

these are great commands. Is there documentation on interpreting their output?

Please refer to trouble shooting guide for more details about the vemcmd
Check port, module, port channel trouble shooting sections.
thanks,
Naren
