Help getting started automating Unity Connection via Python

Greetings,

I'd like to get started automating unity connection via Python. I have not been able to find any examples out there. Can you please share examples that I can modify? At the moment all I am looking to do is to create a simple script to connect to unity to grab the nodes and application version.
