Issue:- Question on Decommission C390 ESA.

Queries:-

  1. Since the EOL appliances are part of the cluster (together with the Production appliances), do we need to detach it before proceeding with the decommission process? The status of these appliances is suspended (no email flow).
  2. Will it impact the other Production appliance if we detach it from the cluster (downtime)?
  3. Can you provide the detach guide.

1. Yes, you should detach it from the cluster so that other members aren't trying to replicate configuration changes to it.
2. No, removing an ESA has no effect on the other ESAs in the cluster
3. Connect to the CLI

Esa> clustermode cluster

(MyCluster)> clusterconfig

Cluster MyCluster

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- ADDGROUP - Add a cluster group.

- SETGROUP - Set the group that machines are a member of.

- RENAMEGROUP - Rename a cluster group.

- DELETEGROUP - Remove a cluster group.

- REMOVEMACHINE - Remove a machine from the cluster.

- SETNAME - Set the cluster name.

- LIST - List the machines in the cluster.

- CONNSTATUS - Show the status of connections between machines in the cluster.

- COMMUNICATION - Configure how machines communicate within the cluster.

- DISCONNECT - Temporarily detach machines from the cluster.

- RECONNECT - Restore connections with machines that were previously detached.

- PREPJOIN - Prepare the addition of a new machine over CCS.

[]> removemachine

Choose the machine to remove from the cluster.

1. esa1 (group Main_Group)

2. esa2 (group Main_Group)

[1]> pick the machine you want to remove...

Just keep using removemachine to remove the ESAs you need to
