Exporting configuration file to another appliance

Doug Maxfield

Good Afternoon,

We are setting up (2) C370.  One for our primary datacenter and one for our secondary.  All of the configuration and testing has been done on the primary datacenter appliance.  We are now ready to bring the appliance at the secondary datacenter "up to speed".  Is it possible to export the configuration from the primary and load it onto the secondary?  I understand that there will be things that have to be changed (IP's, password, etc).  These appliance are not clustered together and will not be due to company requirements.  We are just trying to figure out the "fastest" way to bring up the other appliance.

Thanks in advance,

Doug

Doug,

Are these appliances running same version and build of AsyncOS? This is important when you are importing configuration file of another appliance. If they are of same versions, you can download the current configuration file on the secondary and edit using XML editor or wordpad to add the sections from the primary appliance configuration file. Hope this information helps.
