MX Records For Subdomains

Hi,

We have hosted mx records for our main domain "abc.com" and mails are successfully received by the **bleep** gateway. We are planning to use same **bleep** gateway for one of our sub domain (x.abc.com) as well which belongs to our company's subsidiary.

Can any one please know, do we need to host the MX records for sub domain as well separately ? or its enough hosting MX records for main domain only.

Thanks

as long as bb@abc.com and abc.com has MX record that should work.

if your DNS point to all same IP.

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Our Main domain is "@abc.com" and sub domain is "@x.abc.com". Kindly let us know whether we need to host MX records for sub domain separately even we have hosted MX records for main domain already.

Thanks
