Hello All,
I tried to configure REP and PRP on IE 4010 switch. But I can't find the commands suggested in the documentation under the interface.
License Level: lanbase
SW Version: 15.2(8)E1
Commands Not Supported:
switch(config-if)# prp-channel-group 1
Switch (conf)# rep admin vlan 100

if you're trying to run REP over PRP that is not supported. REP is a L2 protocol for Ring redundancy, and PRP is used for non-rings. they two are not compatible on the same interface.
if trying to accomplish something else, can you please share more details.

Hi Albert,
Thanks for your answer.
I have 7 siemens relays with 2 ports each relay and 2 ie 4010. I would like to have high availability on each relay port connecting each port in one ie 4010 and use PRP protocol to do the high availability.
How I can do this?

to accomplish what you're describing, you have to ensure the Siemens Relays support the Dual Attached Node (DAN) feature for PRP. when operating as a DAN, the Relays will do packet replication on egress, and duplicate packet elimination on ingress. its a special feature to support this and if the Siemens Relays support this then it should be obvious.
Have you seen the PRP configuration guide for IE4010. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/industrial/software/configuration/guide/b_prp_ie4k_5k.html
it explains DAN, VDAN, SAN and Redbox concepts.
as for REP, this could be a case of over used acronyms. some Siemens devices support L2 Ring redundancy protocol called Ring Ethernet Protocol. while Cisco Switches support a L2 ring protocol called Resilient Ethernet Protocol. the two are not compatible. if your Relays support Siemens version of REP, it will not work with the Cisco version of REP.
do you have access to an Cisco Sales specialist? if you have a Cisco account manager, they can get you in touch with an Industrial Networking specialist that can help provide a solution.
