2901 cisco with voice card don't recognize voice commands

Hello,

i bought a cisco 2901 integrated services with voice card and it seem not recognized voice commands. Did some one else have that issue ?

If you have purchased a new router with voice functionality, then, voice licenses would have come pre-loaded.

Secondly, u can also try generating evaluation uck9 licenses which would be valid for 60 days.

can u share show license feature  and show license all output from router?

Hi Florent,

To make your voice command get identified by router, you need to have the uck9 permanent license.

IOS are universal and license is the one which enables the commands.

Can you paste the output for the show version command from the router.

Also you can activate evaluation license for uck9 by following the below command

here the package name would be uck9

license boot module module-name technology-package package-name

Yes, you do not have UCk9/Voice  license.

You can generate evaluation license by visiting www.cisco.com/go/license.

you can click on Get other licenses--Demo and Evaluation--Routers and Switches---ISR G2 temporary licenses ---unified communication license for 2900/300 series--Select the series for 60 days

enter Product ID which would be CISCO2901/K9  and serial number FGL200721K0

I also do not see any PVDM3 card installed in router.

I only want to use it as voice ip gateway, do i need the PVDM3 card ?

Are you going to terminate the ITSP SIP Trunk on this router( will work like CUBE).

If its like that then better have min PVDM3-16 along with uck9 license.

If you have more than 16 simultaneous call on this link then try to go for higher capacity of PVDM

I suggest to check with your partner account and confirmed whether it is ordered.

If it was ordered, then ideally it comes pre installed.

Still you have one workaround to temporary activate the uck9 package by running below commands.

here the package name would be uck9

license boot module module-name technology-package package-name

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/sw_activation/SA_on_ISR.html

Reload would be required after entering the commands.

Try to get the permanent license if you wish to use as voice router.
