7.1.5 Call Manager Bus Ed - Services not starting

davidfield

Hello,

We had an issue where the server effectively failed due to the Readonly file system issue with the IBM PLatform.  We applied the patch and rebooted and the server complained about the discs being out of sync and reporting file system readonly.  We re-synced the disks and the filesystem readoly error disappeared.  THe server starts and we get CLI, I can ping  the server and SSH onto the CLI.  But phones wont register nor web interfaces available.  From what I can see the services are all Starting but never reach the started phase.

Can anyone shed some light on why this would occur?

Thanks in advance

Regards

D

Once file system corruption is encountered by the system going read only or improper shutdown a rebuild must be done.

This is documented in the CUCM Release Notes:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/8_5_1/cucm-rel_notes-851.html

CSCth53322 Rebuild Server After You Use the Recovery Disk

After you use the recovery disk to bring a server with a corrupted file  system into a bootable and semi-functional state, Cisco recommends that  you rebuild the server.
