7821 auto register CME

Hi guys,

Is there a way to make the phone register without having to configure each of their mac address manually? 

Using CME on 2911 router  

IOS version: c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.155-3.M5

Current config example:

voice register pool 1
busy-trigger-per-button 2
id mac 6CFA.8903.D5B4
type 7821
number 1 dn 1

By default, auto-registration is turned on in CME. But I would not suggest that as the phones will automatically register when they contact CME. You can also disable it by using below commands once you are done with the registration of phones. 

no service-enable [Under voice register global -- SIP ]

no auto-reg-ephone [telephony-service -- SCCP]

Use the show ephone attempted-registrations [for SCCP] command to view the list of phones that have attempted to register. Find the below link helpful.

If I don't enter the id mac no registration happens for the phone

Hi Felix,

auto registration for sip endpoint is available starting from CME version 11.5 which means ios version 15.6.

Please upgrade your Cme and all should work
