Is there a way that the 7841 phones can show in text on the display that there was a missed call and how many? It was a feature that the 7900 series phones had that seems to have been lost with the 7800 series phones.

Are you sure is a phone limitation?
What about a frimware upgrade?

I opened a tac case for this and here is the response: "I search for a way to change the missed calls are displayed on a 7841 IP phone, I’m afraid the phone is working as designed and it cannot be changed. Please let me know in case you have further concerns."
This is disappointing. The visual text on the display notifying the user that they have missed calls and how many is popular feature and noticeably missed just after a few 7841 deployments. I don't understand why Cisco makes changes like this.

This is for all 78XX series IP Phones. Because one of our end customer is facing same issue with Cisco 7821 IP Phone. Are you sure for Cisco 7821 Phone?
