7960 IP Phone and SIP with TLS (sips)

Does anyone know if the Cisco 7960 IP Phones are capable of using SIP over TLS with a non CallManager server?

I have a 7960 with a SIP firmware but after trying various options in the SIPDefault.cnf file have not been able to get ti to attempt a SIP TLS connection.

Based on the overall specs for this phone model, especially cpu and ram, it’s not very likely it would be supported.
