I am very new to IP VoIP, and I am starting to have an issue with my 7911 and 7961 phones not booting up. These are phones that were active and just stopped working. When I try to power them up using either POE or a power adapter, they will flash some lights and then nothing. The display never comes up or anything. I tried to do a factory reset but when I type in the 12345678*9# sequence, the lights immediately stop flashing and the phone does nothing. Has anyone ever dealt with this issue before. Currenlty I have 4 phones doing this and I have no spares left to pull from. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you have a TFTP server where the firmwares are stored?

I don't. Corporate might. My laptop can be a TFTP server but I am not sure how to get the phones to "see" it.

You need to configure option 150. This is the IP address of your TFTP server expressed in reverse HEX values.
Read this to configure Option 150.

In the dhcp server mention option 150 for tftp server and cdp enabled on switches
