Hello all,
I have a Problem with a 8831 conference phone.
We got a new Batch of phones with a new Firmware on it (sip8831.10-3-1-16). I configured one with our Standard Profile, which, among others, disables the Settings Access. This is because of security Guidelines of the customer. Unfortunately the device Default is an older SW-Version (sip8831.9-3-3-5) and the phone downloaded it, as expected.
Now I have the Problem, that the phone is neither registering nor downloading any Software I'm configuring on the Device (phone load Name).
I think I have to factory reset the phone, that it can start "from scratch" and get a new ITL / CTL and so on.
But I always find only the guides to reset the phone in the Administrator Settings. As mentioned before, the Administrator Settings are not available.
Is there any other possibility to reset the phone, like other Cisco Phones (#-Key on Startup and so on)??

Is the Factory Reset procedure of Cisco Unified IP Conference Phone 8831 (CP-8831).
1. Unplug the power cord of the phone, and then plug it again.
At startup, and then press and hold the MUTE button on the speaker body. (MUTE button on the body is a red circle part of the photos below.)
When the red LED is lit, I will release the MUTE button.
Red LED flashes every second, you will Factory Reset mode. (Continued do nothing, it will time out in 20 seconds.)
2. In the condition that the above Factory Reset mode, press the MUTE button again, and then release.
Then red LED flashes twice every second, which means that you have selected the Delete setting.
(Continued do nothing, it will time out in 20 seconds.)
3. In the above conditions, please press and hold the MUTE button for two seconds. Red LED flashes 10 times,
Setting is deleted, CP-8831 will start.

factory reset sequence from the softkey menu:
Apps > Admin Settings > Reset Settings>All
