Solved: 8831 Linked Mode status always primary upgrading?

Hi Everybody,

We have 2 x 8831 and both station are linked together via DCU

Firmware: 8831 10.3(1)SR1

Everything are working fine,

except the phone settings > status
Linked Mode: primary upgarding

Is it normal? because the phone firmware is already shown 10.3(1)SR1

Hi Sam,

Yes this is normal. If the Secondary unit is not on the same sw/firmware as the Primary unit. The Primary unit will initialize an upgrade to the Secondary. It may work the same with the Secondary having a newer firmware as well, and forcing an upgrade to the Primary. On the keypad display you will see a brief pop up window stating the upgrade is happening and not to unplug the unit, and on the firmware details under Apps menu that is where you will see the "upgrading progress".
