Hi All,

We bought 8831 phones but I dont see that in the phone type. I added the 8831 cop.sgn file but I saw in some other discussions that we will have to add the CUCM device package.

Now my question is which CUCM device package to choos for my CM version 8.6.1.20000-1  ???

I see these in the download page.

8.6.2(23047)

8.6.2(22038)

8.6.2(22030)

8.6.2(21020)

8.6(1.21019)

8.6(2.21011)

8.6(2.24106)

8.6(2.24104)

8.6.2(24103)

8.6.2(24097)

8.6.2(24094)

8.6(2.24093)

8.6.2(23079)

8.6(2.23071)

8.6.2(23057)

8.6(1.21015)

8.6(1.21008)

Any help is much appreciated... Thanks in advance..

Review the README to find out which adds support, or simply install the latest one.

FYI, adding the FW for a device does not add support for it, it just adds the FW to the TFTP, the device pack modifies the DB and adds supports for devices.

UPDATE: Actually nevermind installing a devpack, you need to upgrade to support the phone, THEN install the latest devpack

Cisco Unified Communications Manager

The phone supports Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Cisco UCM) Releases 7.1(5), 8.5(1), 8.6(2), 9.0, and later.

Thanks for the info Jamie.

After installing the device package, will tftp restart will work or we have to do a system restart??

Read my update, you need to upgrade to 8.6(2), and device packages require a mandatory cluster reboot for new device support.
