8841 Extension Mobility login

Hi all

We have just got some 8841 IP phones, and I went to login to extension mobility - and realised that I haven't got a clue how to do that........

They are new out of the box - configured as SIP (I don't see an SCCP option - maybe that needs a device pack??)  I have pressed all the buttons, but still no joy - Am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance

Is EM properly configured in your cluster and have you followed all the necessary steps to enable it on your device??

If so, just press the services button (the one that looks like a gear)

If not, then you need to properly configure the device so you can use EM

EM is already configured on this mature server (2+ years after first install).

EM is available on other models of phone.  When I press services on a 7942 for example, I see, and can use EM.

In CUCM admin, in the extension information section of this device - Enable Extension Mobility is ticked, and Log Out Profile is set to --Use Current Device Settings--

When I press the services/gear key on the 8841, all I see in Applications is

1 Recents

2 Settings

3 Accessories

4 Running applications

5 Admin settings

6 Phone information

Cisco 8841 are SIP Endpoints.

Could you please elaborate more on the error message you receive ?

In case you have not configured EM , follow the below link for the same.

Great minds think alike...........

I just realised that EM is not globally published, subscribed and it is now working......

This is a new cluster to me (I started here 3x days ago).  I haven't worked anywhere for years that did not have EM published at the enterprise level.

Thanks all, and apologies for my moment of dimness :-)
