8845 Drops Video call when Buttons Pushed

When dialing from an 8845 device to an MXP1000 desktop model, once the call is connected, if the person at the 8845 device presses the front panel buttons handset, headset, mute the video call all together drops as if it were released or hung-up.  However, if the person at the MXP1000 device calls the person at the 8845 device, the person at the 8845 device can toggle between headset and handset as well as mute at anytime and the call stays connected just fine.

 

What am I missing as to why calls would be dropped if the 8845 device caller initiates the call and toggles or presses the headset, handset, or mute buttons causing the call to drop?
