Upgrade CME (2921 Router) 8.6 to 11.5

We need to upgrade CME 8.6 on 2921 Router to CME 11.5 .

Existing setup:

++ We have 7942 and 6921 IP Phones.

Questions.

++ What is up-gradation Procedure?

++ Which CME configuration file and ISO File needed.

++ Plan of Actin and Impact ?

++ Should we need to upload all Phone firmware and MOH and XMl files after upgrading.

++ How to check is there any BUG.

If in case of activity failed how to do rollback on old version.

Please help me to upgrade CME.

Hi Sandip,

CUCME version depends on IOS version installed on your Gateway.

The procedure is the same for IOS upgrade of routers.

Upgrading the IOS the configuration remains the same in the most part of it.

Al phone firmware and MoH remain there.

To check for bugs affecting the IOS version you are installing, refer to the Bug Toolkit

I have some questions.

++ Should i upgrade Router ISO and Then CME file 8.6 to 11.5.
++ Please share how to rollback on 8.6 version if incase of any phone registration issue and other issue.

As soon as you upgrade the IOS, the CME version gets upgraded as well. There are no 2 steps for this. Rolling back would require a IOS downgrade.
A couple of things to remember when upgrading, check that the phone firmware is still compatible with the upgraded CME version. If not, you will have to upgrade. Also, if CME GUI is in use, the files will need to be updated for that as well. Last would be to check CUE compatibility if you are using it as well.
