8851 Phones and Voyager Legend

We're using the Voyager Legend bluetooth earpiece with a Cisco 8851 phone. I've paired the Voyager Legend with the 8851, and am able to successfully pick up an incoming call by pressing the answer button on the earpiece. However, if I want to place an outgoing call, pressing the same answer button does not seem to trigger the phone to give a dial tone. Instead, I have to manually press the handsfree button on the phone itself. Is there any way to change this?

Have you checked you product against the compatibility guide. If it isn't there I don't think your going to have much luck.

Interesting, thank you for that link. Is there a list of compatible wireless headsets (both Bluetooth and DECT) that Cisco themselves have published?

Not to my knowledge you would go to the vendor and check the compatibility against the cisco phone.
You probably want to check electronic hook switch.
