Guys,
On my system I have a custom directory that does a lookup against LDAP. It is configured as a service under phone services with type "Directories". It is an enterprise subscription.
This works fine on every single phone except 8941's. You hit directories, it appears. You can lookup against LDAP sources. The 8941 however only shows personal and corporate directories. The LDAP Directory does not appear.
The only way I can get this service to work on 8941s is to create a new service with type "Standard IP Phone Service" and subscribe the 8941 to it. It then appears when you press the "Cog" button for settings/services etc, and not under directories.
Does something different need to be done with this phone type?
Thanks

Hi Carl,
I'm not sure what firmware you are running on the 8941's
but I did see this bug;
Custom Directories not shown when using Load SCCP8941_8945.9-3-1-19. | |
Symptom: 894x SCCP Phone: 894x 9-3-1-19 Custom directories hosted on external IIS server do not show when directory button is pressed on the phone.Conditions: Under Enterprise parameters :- 1) Services Provisioning set to Both 2) URL directories points to external web URLWorkaround: Temporary work-around would be to use ES load "894x-sccp.9-2-3-ES3-1" , but will be faced with CSCtz51303, which is fixed in 9-3-1-19. | Status Fixed Severity 3 - moderate Last Modified In Last Year Product Cisco Unified IP Phone 6900 Series Technology 1st Found-In 9.3(1) Fixed-In 9.3(2) |
Cheers!

Thanks Rob.
Interesting. From the bug report:
My phones are running 9.2(3) and having this bug.
I just upgraded to 9.3(1) because its a two stage upgrade to 9.3(2) and it works just fine on 9.3(1), even though thats apparently when they first found the bug!
Cheers for your help!
