While uploading csv file which contains all phone details, all the phones upload except one. The job scheduler log file give an error "Cannot insert/update pattern. A DN exists with same pattern/partition". I cannot find that DN anywhere in the Call Manager. I checked, Route Plan Report, Unassigned DN, Hunt List, Directory numbers, etc. I also checked if any phone with that DN already exists. Any help is appreciated.

No. I don't have any template with directory number explicitly assigned to it.
thanks

Hi,
Can you please check which dn is specified in the error log and try to add a new directory number with that extension and see if CUCM allows you to add it?
Thanks

Yes. It allows me to add a directory number (with that ext) manually.

Do you have auto reg enabled?
If yes, try to disable it and retry

I don't think it has anything to do with the DN. I replaced that DN in the csv file with 9999999999 and it will still give me the same error. Its weird.

Hi,
you can try to remove that row in your csv file and add it manually.
Can you try to share your csv even privately so I can analyze it?

I've been fighting this error while trying to upload specific columns from my Import/Export BAT file, specifically for phones. Through process of elimination, and about 24 different BAT files, I found that the one column that was causing the BAT to fail was the one called "Dialed Number x" (in the case of my tests, "Dialed Number 1", corresponding to the DN 1 that I was attempting to upload). With that column in the file, it imported ok. Without it, the BAT failed. Of course that was the last column I tested, after ruling out the others. This was an existing phone with existing DN 1, using the "Override the existing configuration" option when performing the import.
In my specific test file, I narrowed down to the following columns, for updating existing DN on existing Device:
Device Name
Directory Number 1
Route Partition 1
Dialed Number 1
Pretty much all of these were expected, except for the "Dialed Number 1". That was alluded me for almost all of my tests.
