AAR Acting on Wrong Calls

Here's one.

I had AAR working and now it's not.  I cannot figure out what changes have been made that could have done it.  But what's happening now is when I test it by setting the location bandwidth to 1 calls from one site to another go through as if there's all the bandwidth in the world.  But if we make a call to the phone company THEN we get a "Not enough bandwidth" statement and a busy signal.

1 does not indicate all the bandwidth in the world, you need to check the "unlimited" checkbox to do that. 1 means 1 kbps which invokes CAC, and if AAR is configured properly it should be invoked.

Things to check:

  • AAR group on calling and called phone, DN
  • AAR CSS on calling phone
  • External phone number mask or AAR destination on called DN
