Abbreviated Dials

Hi,

I have a CME 8.0 with Cisco 6921 and 6941 phones.

In some phones (6941) I have configured some fastdial. My problem is that the maximum number of fastdial I can configure on the phones is 24 and I need to add more fastdial.

I tried with the num-exp command but this command doesn´t work. For example, I configured the following num-exp:

num-exp 1 0913346133

num-exp 4 0913346122

num-exp 11 0913346155

num-exp 44 0913346199

Well, this solution doesn´t work because when I dial the number 1 the called number is 0913346133 and therefore it is ok but when I try to dial the number 11 the call is made when I have dialed the first digit, ie the called number is 0913346133 and the called number should be 0913346155.

I also thought to do this abbreviated dials with the translation rules but I can only configure 16.

There is another method to set abbreviated dials? I need to add 100.

Can anyone help?

Well, structure your system speed dials via num-exp so that they don't overlap with your dial plan, for example assume you don't have any extensions starting with 7 and you never dial PSTN starting with 7, then build your num-exp such as :

700

701

.

.

799

This will give you 99 system speed dials, if you need more, then use 3 digits, i.e. 7000 - 7999.

HTH,

Chris
