Access to the Product Upgrade Tool?

Hi,

I have a question about access to the Product Upgrade Tool (PUT).

I know that if you have UCSS with your contract you have access to PUT.

Is UCSS required to use PUT?  Or can I have a standard smartnet (for CUCM servers) and still gain access to PUT?

The ordering guide isn't explained nicely, so I'm looking for a better less-confusing explanation.

What requirements are needed to gain access to PUT?

Thank you!

Hey Rya,

You will need SASU contract support at a minimum

Cisco Software Application Support plus Upgrades (SASU)

Provides all of the same features as SAS plus major  software application upgrades. Upgrades provide a richer feature set and  improved performance and efficiency.

You can send an email to determine your access rights to PUT (see below)

From the PUT Q&A

9.) What is required to obtain access to the Product Upgrade Tool?

Only registered users with a Cisco.com account and contract entitlement can use this tool. If you are unable to access the Product Upgrade Tool, send an e-mail to cs-support@cisco.com with the keyword PUT-ACCESS in the subject line of the e-mail. Be sure to include your CCO userID and applicable contract number.
