Hi,
My office bought a phone (model number CP-7841-K9 T23). After plugging it in, it asks for an activation code or service domain which we don't have. We called our service provider and they instructed us to call cisco. We called cisco and they instructed that we post to this forum since the device is not covered under warranty or contract. What do I do?

The one which you are using is Enterprise version and not MPP. you can find the versions from phone settings.
There is a cost involved in converting Enterprise versions to MPP. Refer the conversion guide from below link. I would suggest to contact the supplier and request a MPP versions.

What kind of deployment is this ? CUCM based or CME or are you trying to register the phone with a SIP provider.
If its CUCM,CME make sure that you configured the phone and from DHCP phone got the TFTP address.
If its SIP provider, you need a MPP versions of the phone.
