Active Directory Migration - Loss of Jabber contacts?

All,

Here is the scenario, I am migrating users from a Active Directory domain called 'DOMAIN1' to a domain called 'DOMAIN2'.

User is migrated in AD, then in CUCM their End User account is renamed from 'username1' to '1username'.

They then sign into Jabber using their new domain profile and they can only see Jabber contacts online who have also been migrated. All other contacts show an offline status.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi,

Did u try "Reset Cisco Jabber"?

what is Jabber version u are using?

regds,

aman

Yes Jabber was reset. :)

Also the CTI integration isn't working.

Hi,

Did u try restart of Cisco  CTI Manager?

just have a look into this link :

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-widgets/117820-problemsolution-jabber-00.html

regds,

aman

Sorry to confuse but the CTI integration is actually OK!

The issue is just with the contacts only. :)

Also to confirm guys, if I rename my account back to what it previously was in CUCM, I can see all the previous contacts, excluding people who have been migrated... :/

Sorry guys to bump this one... This is a puzzler...

If I rename my End User account from user1 to 1user and then logon to Cisco Jabber, I can see all my previous contacts, but they are showing online!

Any ideas?!

D

Hi,

After renaming, did you enable home cluster, did you enable allow CTI control, did you assign jabber phone to end user, did you give right privileges, etc

The End User account is identical apart from renaming the user ID.

Also IM and Presence work all OK after an initial message is exchanged which is very odd.

In this case, try to close jabber, delete the folder "Unified Communication" under %AppData\Roaming\Cisco. Then try to login again.

What version of jabber are you running.

Done. Unfortunately the same issue. Very odd...

If I rename my User ID back to what it was before in CUCM, then reset Jabber I can see all of my contacts with their Presence status. :/

CUPS itself has seen the User ID change all OK. Is there anything perhaps in the contact list file on the backend that needs editing? Any reference to the previous domain?

Jabber Version 11.0.1

I've rolled back to Jabber 10.5.2 and have the same issue.

Hi,

Have you used LDAP Sync of CUPS ?

Not sure what you mean here?
