Active Directory Plugin. CM 5.x and 6.x

Does anyone have a link for installing CM 5.x and above with AD.

Is it still the same procedure as using the AD Plugin?

Customer has new cluster site that will install 5.x then upgrade to 6.0. New this to be an AD database instead of LDAP.

Then another site with 4.x LDAP that will be upgraded and migrated into the new cluster (AD)

Any links/inputs will he helpful.

Hi Majid,

Here a some docs to get you started;

Cisco Unified CallManager System Guide, Release 5.0(1)

Understanding the Directory

The following list summarizes the changes in directory functionality from previous releases of Cisco CallManager:

The directory component has been decoupled from Cisco CallManager to ensure high Cisco CallManager availability independent of the corporate directory.

Cisco CallManager and related applications store all application data in the local database instead of in an embedded directory. The embedded directory gets removed and Cisco CallManager supports synchronization with the customer directory.

The AD integration on CM 5.X and 6.X architecture has gone through a major redeisgn. You no longer need to run a pluging the integration is as simple as enabling the DirSync service and configuring the LDAP settings under system menu. It is drastically easier than CM 4.X and prior versions.
