PHONE: Cisco IP Phone 7941 or 7961
SOFTWARE: Cisco Unity Express Version 3.1
PROCEDURE I'M PERFORMING: Phone is connected to switch using the 10/100 SW port. Phone turns on displaying the correct date/time and company name. I compared all the settings on the phone to my working phone and everything matches. I'm able to access the directories and see the company directory of extensions. So all that works.
Using the software, I go to Configure/Phones/Add. On the drop down for Phone Physical ID: I'm able to select the phone, 001E.7A25.B271. Phone Type is listed as 7941, which is correct and the Phone Sequence Number: is listed as 18. I then click Add. On Auto-Line Selection: I select In/Out and then click Add. I get the following pop up... The page at 192.168.127.242 says: Save Change? I select OK. Pop up closes and then I press X to close that window. I go to the list of phones and it doesn't appear.
That's where I'm stuck . Is there an answer to this?
OR
I have some extra phones that have an extension assigned to them. How can I change those extensions?
