Solved: Add Prefix for international Calling numbers

Hi there,

I´ve migrated a CUCM 6 to CUCM10.5, so the Gateways remain with the same configuration and all work fine, except ip phones does not display the prefix number for incoming international calls.

Any ideas??

Hello Guillermo,

Can you add more details please? How the GW is connected to CUCM, is MGCP, SIP or H323?

How are you connected to PSTN, SIP Trunk, PRI (E1/T1) or FXO?

I´ve 3 gateways in different location, connected via H323 to CUCM, and the gateways are connected via PRI(E1)interfaces.

Can you please navigate to Device > Gateway, open one of the GWs and scroll down into: Incoming Calling Party Settings > International Number, and check whether the prefix showing up there or not?

If there, please collect the following debugs from one of the GWs:

debug isdn q931

debug voip ccapi inout

and provide running config.

Hello Guillermo,

I couldn't find any prefix configured on CUCM for H323 GW, as well not such config on the Gateway (router) itself.

From the debugs, I found an international call (calling number is: 21321928443). kindly add the prefix you want under the GW configuration on CUCM: International Number > replace "Default" with the prefix that you want then save and reset.

Here is another running config from another gateway and a log file attached .

So, I receive calls from many countries, Italy, France, EEUU, Germany, etc.. Have I to add the prefix for all this countries? Or is there another way to do that?

Checked them, and same as before calling numbers for international calls come without 00 (or +).

can you advice what prefix you want to add?

all international calls will have the same prefix? If yes, what is that prefix?

The prefix that I want the IP Phone display its the country code + phone number, I only can see the phone number, right now:
These are some of the country codes where I usually receive phone calls.

from the provided debugs I noticed that numbers were sent but without (+), which you can add in the GW configuration page on CUCM under Calling Party Settings > International Number, remove "default" and add + , then save the changes and click on the reset button.

I´ve made the change that you recommend me, but it does not work.

for example the entire number is:

00393484820XXX

and in the display phone appears:

0484820XXX
The prefix number [0039] does not appears, and the first number "3" is substitute by "0"

on the ip phone that received the call, can you check the directory (either received calls/ missed calls). how the number is showing up there?

under Service parameters, enable digitanalysis complexity and collect CCM logs covering a test calls. or if you prefer we can have a remote session to check the issue.

Yesterday under Service parameters, I check the option TranslationAndAlternatePatternAnalysis, and I was doing some tests under dna in call manager, but I couldn´t see the problem either.

We could do the remote session if you want.
