Adding an existing DN to multiple devices

The template for our devices allows us to add a new DN to a line on the device. But, in CallManager 6.1, how does one associate an existing DN to multiple devices?

just go to each phone then click on the DNs and add one

if you mean shared lines procedure is the same, go to each device click on ADD DN and configure it with the same DN and partition

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having issues with this.  When I click on ADD DN and choose the partition, it switches over to the existing phone MAC address...  Which is confusing, because this same process worked a few weeks ago and I think I did the exact same process.  Now it doesn't work.
