I am needing to add a device pack for a 8811 phone. The version of CUCM I have is System version: 10.0.1.10000-24. Do I really have to upgrade to 10.5.2 in order to have this phone? I have a call manager that is 9.1 that has the option for this phone. Why would that older version have that phone and this newer version I have not have it? Or am I just reading into this wrong? I cant seem to find a device pack for this phone for the version of CUCM I have. I am just hoping someone knows of another way to do this without having to upgrade.

No, you HAVE to upgrade, as to why an "old" release has a DevPack and yours doesn't, read here

You are reading it right, we need to upgrade cucm to 10.5 as in version 10.1 the supported 88xx models were 8841,8851,8861.

You can have a look on the below bug which would answer your second query.

Hi William,
you need to upgrade CUCM to 10.5.2 as per the datasheet it is supported on 10.5.2.
Adding Device pack to CUCM 10.0.1.10000-24 is not going to help.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager |
● 8.5.1 (Non-secured mode Only)
● 8.6.2
● 9.1.2
● 10.5.2
● 11.0 and later
