Analog Telephone Line Configuration - MGCP Gateway

Hi,

We have one analog line from Service Provider for making calls (only Certain calls). Pls suggest whether the line should be terminated on FXS or FXO Card.

Also pls suggest on configuration of FXO/FXS port configuration on the router. 

Pls help..

Hi Jagadish,

Analog provider lines should be terminated on FXO ports on the gateway. FXs ports are usually used for connecting analog endpoints like analog phone/fax.

For configuration, you need to match few things on the provider side like signaling. Most of the time it works with the default configuration but sometimes you need to fine tune some of the configuration based on your specific provider line. YOu can refer the below link for more information:
