any feature for call name display for external party

We have a request from one of our customer when a calls comes to their IP phone from outside they want to display the name of the external caller.They will provide the list of contacts.Is there any way we can achieve this feature.

No, its not possible in CUCM natively. But, you may do it with 3rd party applications, below is the reference for this.

One way if the provider is passing the caller name. That's straight forward but not usually the case. 

2nd option is to create dummy DNs with caller IDs and assign names to DNs. That will make cucm or cme display the caller name when call is received. You need to make sure that phones css can't access these DNs for callbacks/redials to go out to pstn when you call these numbers. Else the calls will hit the dummy DNs and won't work

Hello Mohammed,

for the 2nd option I have created a dummy DN with my mobile number but the Cisco IP phone still displays the number on the screen instead of name.

I implemented it in 2 customers and works fine. what you need is:

• Apache24
• php-5.6.5-Win32-VC11-x86
• Script ExternalCallerID (is free).
• PostgresSQL
• VISUAL_STUDIO (vcredist_x86.exe).
