Hi ,
We want to configure the application dial rule which is matching variable numbers.
In CUCM Admin guide it's mention as
Number of Digits Enter the length of the dialed numbers to which you want to apply this application dial rule. Enter a number of digits between 1 and 100 or the characters +, *, and #.
When we tried to configure the * it's not accpeting.
Is there any way to configure the application dial rule to match the variable numbers.
Thanks in Advance.

ok. I see the issue.
Have a look at the software release notes of CUCM 7.1.5b, the number of digits is a number between 1 and 100 (no wildcard).
The Application Dial Rule Configuration Settings table in the "Application Dial Rules Configuration" chapter of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration Guide contains some incomplete and erroneous information. The correct information follows.

Just wondering which version of CUCM you are using.
I am using CUCM 8.0.3 (see below the different fields).
The number of digits should be a number between 1 and 100 (you cannot use +, *, # ...)
The "Number Begins With" could contain those specific wildcards.

Hi ,
Thanks a lot for your info.
Is there any other way to configure the Variable length dial plan for application rules?
