I have a ATA 186 (SCCP Firmware) registered with a CME 10.0. I am not able to send or receive a fax on the fax machine. We have configured SIP Trunk to ITSP. Here are the Facts:
- CME 10.0
- SIP Trunk to ITSP
- ATA 186 Firmware ATA030204SCCP090202A.zup (the latest one --> 3.02.04(090202A))
- ATA 186 Product ID: ATA186I2-A
- Fax machine is a ricoh multi functional Printer connected to Port 1 on ATA box
- tested ATA box with full/halb Duplex and also 10/100 speed
- Audio Parameters on ATA GUI: LBRCodec 3, AudioMode: 0x00150015, ConnectMode: 0x90000400
- When I call the fax number, I can hear the fax is pickup up the call and starting peeping.
I can see that the ATA port is registered successfullly on CME:

I read a lot of stuff about that it is recommanded to connect your fax to ATA Port2 or to specify the Audio- and Connect-Modes on ATA, or that it is not recommanded to use a ATA 186 (SCCP) with SIP Trunk ITSP. And of course I read on Cisco page, that we have to use ATA 186 with H.323 Firmware on CME (see Config Guide) I didn't give it a try with H.323.
Tips? Hints? answers? I know ATA's can be an annoying part, but I hope someone is out there you can help.
