Auto Call Pickup not working on 8851 phone

Hi, we have CUCM 11.0 with model 8851 phone running firmware sip88xx.12-1-1SR1-4. There are two lines on the phone: primary line is extension 100 and is a member of a pickup group, second line is a shared line of extension 200 and is not a member of the pickup group. User answers a call on line 200 and hangs up, leaving second line still "selected". A call for the pickup group comes in and the phone has an alert saying such. The user presses the Pickup softkey but the primary line is not selected and the call is not connected. User has to first select the primary line key, then press the Pickup softkey.

 

The "Always use prime line" setting is enabled for the phone- works great when starting a new call from scratch (pickup the handset and the call jumps from having the second line select to having the primary line selected). It doesn't help with this problem, though. Also have the "Auto Call Pickup" Service Parameter set to "True", which is supposed to auto pickup calls to a Pickup Group, but no luck.

 

I know the Call Pickup feature only works for the primary line, and that's the line we have in the group. But the phone is notifying and not jumping to that line. I don't see any record of this being a bug- does anyone else have this behavior? Any workaround? Thanks!
