Hello,

I am following the below link for CUCM 9.1

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/7975G_7971g-ge_7970g_7965g_7945g/9_0/english/admin_guide/P747_BK_W06BD6D9_00_adminguide_7945-7965-7970-7971-7975/P747_BK_W06BD6D9_00_adminguide_7945-7965-7970-7971-7975_chapter_0110.html#P747_...

I have configured the background image for 7945 and 7971 they are working somehow not up to the satisfaction

the thumbnail image on 7945 phones seen perfect but when i select the thumbnail image to save the phone displays the bigger image is seen as a full blue color and not the actual thumbnail image.

Same thing is reverse in 7971 phones,

the thumbnail images is seen blue colour but when i select the thumbnail image it is displayed perfect on the background.

I think there is no problem in the List file becz it is pulling image from the tftp, then why this image is not displayed properly.

 Below are the file for 7945

<CiscoIPPhoneImageList>

<ImageItem  Image="TFTP:Desktops/320x212x16/TN-BO.png"
URL="TFTP:Desktops/320x212x16/BO.png"/>

</CiscoIPPhoneImageList>

Below are the file for 7971

<CiscoIPPhoneImageList>

<ImageItem  Image="TFTP:Desktops/320x212x12/7971-Thumb.png"
 URL="TFTP:Desktops/320x212x12/7971.png"/>

</CiscoIPPhoneImageList>

Hi,

Can you upload these files to your CUCM, I tested them and worked fine,

For 7945 you have to upload them to /Desktops/320x212x16 directory.

For 7971 you have to upload them to /Desktops/320x212x12 directory.

Then restart Cisco Tftp service under Cisco Unified Serviceability and check the thumbnail and images on IP Phone.

If the issue continue, erase all parameters on IP phones and try again.

Let me know if it worked.

Regards.

Hi,

You can post the PNG files and List.xml , i will try uploading them on my lab cucm cluster and see if i run into same issue. This will confirm if the issue is with cucm or the files itself. One thing you can try is delete all PNG / List.xml files and reupload them followed by a restart of TFTP service.

Dear Manish,

Attached are the files.

That usually hints the image itself is not properly formated for phone use, check again the specs for the images in the link and make sure they are that way,

Dears,

Please correct me if am wrong,  the actual image for full screen and thunmbnail  for 7945 and 7971 it shld be as follows

320 x 216

80 x 53

Thanks

Hi,

Your .png files for 7971 are correct the size should be:

- Full size 320 x 212

- Thumbnail 80 x 53

Your 7945 files have a size of:

- Full size 320 x 216 (should be 320 x 212)

- Thumbnail 80 x 53

If you change the image size and you still have a thumbnail issue, you should change your list.xml and correct the syntax for the thumbnail line like I mentioned before.

Regards.

Hello,

r u sure for the size of the 7945 becz I tried to upload the size you suggest but no success, (file not found)

And regarding the double space I think that is correct if I remove space it doesn't work.

how I can verify the background if physical phone not with me.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you try replacing this:

<ImageItem  Image="TFTP:Desktops/320x212x16/TN-BO.png"

For this:

<ImageItem Image="TFTP:Desktops/320x212x16/TN-BO.png"

You have a doble space, generally this is the problem, you have to change it for 7971 too.

If this was useful please rate.

Regards.
