BARS restore of an CUCM cluster

Hello Team,

BARS is the tool for backup and restore of the database of a CUCM cluster.

Is there any difference in the result when changing the HW of a cluster with the following procedures:

1) Install new publisher server, restore the whole BARS backup for all servers to the publisher and then 

    physically install the new subscribers.

2) Install new cluster with all the servers and then finally restore the BARS backup

You need to change the MAC address in the license file via GO/licensing

Re-ip address/Hostname of  the new HW to match the old Cluster otherwise the BARS restore will phone

Thx for your comment. The licence change for the MAC address is necessary for both variants.

The new systems will have the same Hostnames / IP-addresses as the original ones.

My question was not related to licencing but for the difference in the two described procedures

above (if any).
