I need to export all of the phones from a 7.1.3su2 cluster to an 8.0.3 cluster. All system device pools, regions, profiles, PT, CSS etc. are all the exact same.
I have attempted an 'all details' phone export and then all details import, but it appears the file format is very different, so the import fails.
Can anyone recommend a good way to do this?

Exporting data from 7.1 and importing that to 8.0.3. This is
not supported in BAT. Export and Import should be done in the same version.
One option is to upgrade your 7.1.3 cluster to 8.0.3, run BAT to collect the info and them
revert back (switch over)to version 7.1.3.

As you've found the formats are not the same, the only way to make this work is to get an all details file from 8.x, compare it to what you have in your 7.1 file and add/remove info as needed to make it compliant with 8.0. There's no other way.

Thanks guys, I had tried to import them into a vmware lab CM running the exact same version so I could upgrade it to 8 and export then import to the production server, but it failed after ~20 phones when I ran out of DLU's....
I think I will try to upgrade the old server to 8.0 and export next
java - I did an export from both and compared - lots of difference / some fields are gone and there are some new fields in CM8 - thanks for the tip I will go this route or *maybe* a default phone format export/import if they are not too different - if the upgrade fails
