hi
i have a be6000 and there is a warning in the ESX console saying :
this server must be shutdow berore removing power
failure to shutdown gracefully may result in data loss
is it an error or it is normal

Hi there,
This is NOT an error message but rather a "heads up" that you should always do a graceful shutdown before removing power. It's a standard message.

This generally shown in the BE6000S, UCS E server which is running on ISR Router.
Since the UCE E is powered by Router and normally router have single source.
If power is not connected to UPS and connected to raw source then it may spoil the server if any immediate power disconnection.

yes i know in the BE6000s but i find it in a BE6000 , when we plug a monitor on the ucs server !
and my customer is worried so i don't know how to reassure him ;

Hi Soraya.
That's only a warning and the complete text is the following:
WARNING: This system includes a Cisco UCS server module which MUST be shut
down (power button is orange) before removing power. Failure to shut down
--More-- gracefully may result in data loss or corruption.
