Hi there,

This is NOT an error message but rather a "heads up" that you should always do a graceful shutdown before removing power. It's a standard message.

Cheers!

Rob

Ooops..

You are too fast for me my friend:)

This generally shown in the BE6000S, UCS E server which is running on ISR Router.

Since the UCE E is powered by Router and normally router have single source.

If power is not connected to UPS and connected to raw source then it may spoil the server if any immediate power disconnection.

Raaj

yes i know in the BE6000s but i find it in a BE6000 , when we plug a monitor on the ucs server !

and my customer is worried so i don't know how to reassure him ;

thank you

Hi Soraya.

That's only a warning and the complete text is the following:

WARNING: This system includes a Cisco UCS server module which MUST be shut
down (power button is orange) before removing power. Failure to shut down
--More-- gracefully may result in data loss or corruption.

HTH

Regards

Carlo
