BE6KS on ISR 4k routers

Team,

My customers in the northeast are wondering when we are going to announce support for the 4321? They do not want to purchase this on a 2921 that has a limited lifespan, considering the ISR 4k's are the latest release.

Thanks in advance,

Jason Randazzo

Not anytime soon AFAIK, this is a big omission/mistake by the Cisco BUs to release new products on dead platform.

The plan is on the roadmap, but not dates at the moment.

Hi,
although it's an old post, I would like to enter some info about this interest discussion.

In some countries the 2900 and 3900 ISR represents a huge park and will take a while for the 4K migration ... I think this is one of the reasons that BE6K-S is supported in a 2921, but I totally agree with Chris Deren and Jason Randazzo that 4K should be included. :)

 The following question remains:

 Manuel Ayala,

  any news about the roadmap?

Regards.

Roadmap questions cannot be addressed at CSC, you would need to ask in the partners forum, or via your AM

Thank you fr the invaluable information (+5).

BE6k-S was not planned to be supported with 29XX and 39XX?

Hi Wilson,

thanks a lot ... right now, only 2921 is supported, the only info that I heard is that only 4K may be supported in the future ... the picture bellow is a good detailed view of BE6KS:

Regards.

Ok, so it means BE6S =4k Router based solution. I was worried that BE6K (UCS -C Series Servers) would not be supporting the 29XXs / 39XXs.

This is a great info. My work usually takes me only to the UCS based solutions and rarely the CME / CUE market and this looks more inclined towards SMB segment.

So, I presume going forward there will be no CME as they have discontinued CUE :-)

Thanks a lot, and really appreciate the post (+5)!

Regards

Hi Wilson,

I totally agree that CME will not be supported ... the problems when using SIP IP Phones (specially when using security) are the main reason for me.

I hope that BE6KS, in the future, be the path migration for CME.

Excellent discussion ... (+5 for that).

Regards.
