BE7000 SSL Certificate Management

Hi,

I have some BE7000 UCS servers running the Cisco UC edition of ESXi 6.0.

This has a web interface which has a security section which allows you to generate Certificate Signing Requests and then upload PEM format certificates.

Has anyone managed to get this working? - I have a cert issued by an MS CA which will not upload. The same CA was used to issue certs for CUCM Tomcat which uploaded just fine.

There does not seem to be any documentation about this web interface and most of the certificate related articles for ESXi talk about configuring via CLI and require the ESXi host to be managed by a vCenter server which has the CA root certs installed.

I have tried installing the signed cert and root and intermediate certs and just get a "Failed - Cannot change the host configuration." message.

I have tried shutting down the VMs and putting the ESXi into maintenance mode with the same result.

Any ideas?

If this is about the UCS server, and not the products running on top of it, you might want to ask in the DC area.
